I found myself last weekend at one of Austin’s yummiest culinary spots, Jeffrey’s. With its cozy atmosphere and quaint details throughout, the delicious food could only be matched by the venue’s sophisticated refinement. Flowers, monogramed napkins and stylish décor set the mood for a lavish country club-style experience. As I glanced through the delicious menu choices, my expectations were high, as the restaurant has a high reputation to uphold. This venue is simply the epitome of fine dining, with its walnut bar, leather-bound menus and chic Martini cart. Jared and I were swept away…
I settled on an incredible dish: their Shellfish Rissotto. An exquisite combination of wood roasted lobster, king crab, bay scallop and gulf prawns was perfectly mixed with english peas, lemon & uni butter. I could not believe my tastebuds. I just had to share it with the world!
Needless to say, I was not let down by their chef. I’ve had great experiences not only at Jeffrey’s but also at its sister spot, Josephine House. Intimately nestled in Clarksville, both restaurants are delicate and refined concepts that merit a special occasion.
I think I just might reserve a table for their New Years Brunch, care to join me?
